HOWDY from Idaho! I spent 4 years from Dec 95- Dec 99 on active duty with the US NAVY, primarily on the USS Fort McHenry (LSD-43), recieved some 11 awardes, letters and notes of accommodation, not to brag, but it was great to be appreciated, as a military cook I has a good time, filled numerous duties in my enlistment from mailinance man for some 123 spaces of the S-2 div. to plastic man, cook on watch, dry and wet foods stores as well as supplies keeper, served on the ships emergency response fire party called the Flying Squad and helped set a new record in toxic drill response, manned a sound powered phone, relaying messages from the flight deck and bridge and flight officer tge each respectively durring Flight quarters in the helo tower, low vis watch, set Yoke, was tasked out to both the deck and engineering divisions. Studied fir the E-5 exam, but stepped out of the exam line realizing, I was set on leaving the service after my enlistment, wich was terminating in three months or less.
There is a much larger amount of details and labors to my time in. Needless to say I shipped out and woke up, found it difficult to continue in the foodservice industry in transition, my ambition was to attend N.E.C.I. for their three year Batchelor program graduating in management and the business aspects of the industry to begin the creation of my own chain of restaurant and dance halls... I'm still working towards this dream, though the degree may follow successful business development.
I've serve in many trades and service styles, ag, food processing and R & D over the years, now later in life my spouse and I find we're empty nesters, learning to support the other more closely.
It's been my objective to become a serial vetrepreneur and restrateaur all along. I am currently developing a cottage baker, baking from the heart, working to maximize market share in the direct markets, as we work to develop to attract $150k+ sales annually, in the persuit of a $200-$400+ salesporttion, our plan after tackling that big goal after hitting target or surpassing it is to create a store front model, which may include more as a format factory like study, to either sell or internally develop staff with in to further our locations, pushing our production as a supplier to an indilustrial level. There is more to follow, but know that as the years passes in to fall we like to cottage bake for causes allowing the public to partner with us shouldering the production cost for cookies we donate to charity and community causes. Last year on $2,750 raised we funned the cost to produce 7,864 cookies for 5 campaigns, we hope this year to take in 2x the funding and to give out 2x. We hope to get a support to reach these goals and we'll see what comes!
